Last night, while I was babysitting, nothing was on TV after the kids went to sleep, so I resorted to watching "My Strange Addiction" on TLC. I had heard about this show, but I was never really interested in it. I started watching it and was soon so intrigued and grossed out that I could not change the channel. One lady ate toilet paper, another lady ate laundry detergent, and the last man ate crushed up glass. OMG! How on Earth are these people still living?! When I got over the initial shock of what these people were doing to themselves, one thought came to mind....
How did these crazy people start these obsessions? Did the toilet paper look like cotton candy? Did a little bit of laundry detergent slip into her mouth and tasted like orbit mint gum? Did the man finish his glass of wine and realize he was still hungry so he ate the glass? I don't get it. Lord help these people!
I didnt actually watch the show because I was too stunned ovver what was going on. Maybe if I would have listented a little better I would have a better understanding of these 3 people's lives and crazy choices.
In conclusion, I am not trying to make fun of these people, I am just truly confused and concerned for them and I hope that My Strange Addiction helps these people or maybe helps similar people who watch the show. But please do NOT eat anything that is not meant to be eaten. It is not healthy!
